sp.) di Balai Penelitian Tanaman Jeruk dan Buah Subtropika, Batu, Jawa Timur.

Stroberi
dapat diperbanyak dengan generatif dari biji dan vegetatif dari stolon dan
kultur jaringan. Balai Penelitian Tanaman Jeruk dan Buah Subtropika
mengembangkan kultur jaringan tanaman subtropika. Tujuan dari Praktik Kerja Lapangan adalah untuk memperoleh pengetahuan, keterampilan,
dan pengalaman kultur jaringan stroberi, untuk mengidentifikasikan dan
memberikan alternatif pemecahan di praktik kerja lapangan, dan untuk menjalin kerjasama antara
perguruan tinggi dengan masyarakat. Kegiatan kultur jaringan dilakukan mulai dari kultur meristem, multiplikasi, dan
aklimatisasi. Kultur meristem bertujuan untuk memproduksi benih stroberi yang
bebas virus. Zat pengatur tumbuh benzil
amino purin (BAP) diaplikasikan pada multiplikasi stroberi. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan varietas Sweet Charli dan Holand lebih responsif
terhadap BAP 1 ppm, dan varietas California lebih responsif pada BAP 0.5 ppm.
Kemudian, planlet stroberi varietas Rosalinda diaklimatisasikan pada berbagai
media tanam. Media terbaik untuk aklimatisasi adalah arang sekam.

sp.) In Indonesian Citrus and Subtropical Fruits Research Institute Batu, East

Strawberries could be propagated by generative from seed and vegetative
from stolon and tissue culture. Indonesian Citrus and
Subtropical Fruits Research Institute have been developing tissue cuture
propagation for subtropical plants. The purpose of this internship
was to gain knowledge, skills, and experience of strawberry tissue culture
propagation, to identify solve
problems occured in the internship and to establish cooperation between college and
community. Strawberry tissue culture activities were conducted
for meristematic culture, multiplication, and acclimatization. Meristematic
culture aimeds to produce virus-free strawberry seedling. Growth regulators like
benzyl amino purine (BAP) was applied on multiplication of strawberry seedling.
The result showed Sweet Charlie and Holand varieties more responsive to BAP 1
ppm, and California varieties more responsive to BAP 0.5 ppm. Then, strawberry Rosalinda varieties planlet
was acclimatizatied on several growing media. The best growing media for acclimatization was husk charcoal.
